Flowfal takes movement from standard smartphones and smartwatches and allows you to trigger and manipulate sounds and images.

Available as a set of plugins, you can map all kinds of movements to just about anything inside Ableton Live. The system is particularly useful for panning sounds around a spatial audio system.

Come and try out the system for yourself. We will have smart watches and digital wands you can use to manipulate a set of different sounds including ambient pads, glitches, vocal samples and breakbeats.

For those more interested in AV: Flowfal can send OSC messages to any visual system. We will have a TouchDesigner demo to show this in action.

Sound artist Simon East (AKA Thunkist) will be on hand to discuss how he uses Flowfal for live music performance (getting away from twiddling knobs), dance and movement pieces (the movers are triggering the sound/music) and immersive installations.
